4/14/09 ATTENTION!!! THIS IS NOT A BLOG!

Ok so here's the deal...

I always have good intentions with this blog, but the fact is that I never update it. I was all excited when I started this blogging thing a couple years ago, but I now feel like I am neglecting it too much and it is always put on a back burner. So...without further excuses I am now ending my "blogging" and instead I am going to call this my "NEWS" page. That really makes more sense to me anyway and then I won't feel obligated or bad when I don't update it and I won't have to apologize or make excuses anymore! I initially intended this BLOG to be a news/update type thing anyway and in all reality blogs kind of have grown old to me and sometimes annoy me, not mine mind you, but blogs in general. There are a couple cool ones out there, and I check them out, but when I say a few I really mean one other than me and that person knows who I am talking about. Anyway facebook has essentially became my blog, but not really a blog, I just pop up photos every now and again and people see them. If you have facebook and we are not "friends" ADD ME and I will add you as long as you're not some weirdo. So why facebook you are asking? Because it is way easier to update, there is no other reason other than I have a hard time finding a spare hour or so to update this. So that is my story NO MORE BLOG! I think I will start a revolution against blogging and a new trend will start...people will stop blogging (or I will decide that I do really need to continue my quarterly blog). Only time will tell, but this BLOG is now a NEWS page not a BLOG page, but it will still be called my BLOG!

On a more newsy AND more serious note...I will be running a booking special for weddings as well as senior portraits in the near future. The wedding special will run from April 15-May15 and the senior special will run from May 15-June15. I am not listing either special online anywhere because they are both that cool and top secret. Contact me if you would like more details on either special and I will get you info.

2/2/09

So it is over a month delayed from what I said and going on 5 months since my last real post. Why is it that I am always apologizing for not posting? I think because of the daunting task that lies ahead of me in actually posting this makes me cringe and it seems easier (and makes me feel better about my lack of productivity) to apologize than to actually do a post. I mean I only have over 50 some sessions to dig through including a wedding or two. That is why I have not posted in a while, because I have been busy shooting and haven't had enough time!!! Now that I am caught up on all the paper work crap from 2008, yeah taxman I said PAPER WORK CRAP! Hahaha anyway enough whining on my part...here is a sampling of some of what I have been up to since the week before Christmas. I am leaving out the previous 3 months intentionally because a blog is supposed to be current and 5 months ago is old news...oh and last and most certainly not least I want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to all of BlackLine's clients for helping make 2008 an outstanding year!

12/20 Yeah, SO!!!

Ok I know, I have majorly neglected this blog thing (sorry mom---she really gave me crap about this about a month ago) and the primary reason that it has been about 3 months since my last post is simply put as not enough time. I have been extremely busy for the past 6 months and swamped the last 3 and so I have had to scratch some things off of my to do list and the blog was unfortunately on that list. I also have a Facebook page that I have been using as a mini-blog type thing, so if you have Facebook add me (if you haven't already) and you can see a ton of my newest work there. Anyway after the hectic Christmas season is over, I will be posting a real post with photos and everything! Can you believe that? Check back in like a week or so (around New Years) and see what's up!

9/23 Monthly update

I have been extremely busy in the past month, mostly shooting high school seniors. Also along the way I have done a couple weddings (one a full day and one being only a couple hours for formals, thus the reasoning behind only a couple photos displayed from one wedding). Anyway I have also been busy with some family sessions, babies, kids, CATS, and even the occasional business headshot. To top the month off, I took a little time to shoot one of my old guitars just to shoot something other than a person. It kind of makes you a bit more creative to shoot something that doesn't move or pose for you. Well when I was about to wrap up the Les Paul session, the stupid guitar jumped off of the makeshift stand that I had it resting on (Like how I blamed it on the guitar???). Anyway back to the story, the guitar jumped to the ground in a slamming fashion, snapping the headstock right off of the neck. The sad part of this story is that this particular guitar (or ones very similar to it) goes for more than $400 on ebay. The last photo in this bunch is a cool shot of my disfigured guitar. It is now my goal to find me some wood glue and try to salvage what was once a nice axe.
